About
The Spinal Cord Injury Peer Information Library on Technology (SCI PILOT) is an information resource - the first of its' kind - to describe the assistive technology experiences of individuals with quadriplegia from their own perspective.
SCI PILOT is based on the idea that individuals who have experienced injury, recovery and readjustment to day-to-day living have gained valuable insights. Until now, their knowledge has not been readily available to those recently injured.
The core of this resource is based on face-to-face interviews. Each is condensed into a Story, with recurring topics explored further in the Articles section.
SCI PILOT is available in three formats:
- a printed booklet
- a CD ROM
- this website
For information on how to get either the booklet or CD ROM, please contact us.
SCI PILOT is based on first-hand experiences of people with quadriplegia who use assistive technology in their daily lives.
